This is April's fifth year on the board, serving the first three in the role of Technology Director before moving onto the Leadership team. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with her B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management, and is currently the Assistant HR Manager at Numerica Credit Union. She earned her SHRM-CP in 2015 and her SHRM-SCP in 2016. In her spare time, April loves travelling to exciting places, going to movies with her husband, getting some sun at the lake with friends, and playing with her 110 lb. golden retriever, Sammy, and her 10 lb. pomeranian, Faith.
Krystal has served over 8 years on the INSHRM Board as she moves into the Past-President role for 2019. She served 4 year as Programs co-Director and Secretary/Historian for 1.5 years. Krystal is the HR Manager at MacKay Manufacturing, a local manufacturer of precision machined products. Krystal has her B.A. in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources Management followed by an M.B.A. from Eastern Washington University. She earned her PHR in June 2010 and her SHRM-SCP in August of 2015. Outside of the INSHRM Board and work, it's about family and Krystal's two year old son Eli keeps life exciting for her and her husband Mike. Krystal also loves to fit in a workout, and hike or grab coffee with a friend!
Programs Co-Director/President Elect
Mike is an employment law attorney with the law firm of Stamper Rubens, P.S. Mike’s practice emphasizes all aspects of employment law, including trade secret violations, discrimination claims, and violations of non-compete or non-solicitation agreements. Mike is a forceful, yet careful and conscientious, litigator who strives vigorously to pursue his clients’ interests while balancing the need for a timely and cost-conscious resolution to each case. Mike is very active in the Spokane community as General Counsel for the Spokane Home Builders Association, General Counsel for Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, and Past President of Spokane Rotary Club #21. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Spokane Jazz Society and the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries. Mike is married to Lisa, and they have three daughters, all of whom share Mike’s passion for travel, snow skiing, and surfing.
This is Lindsey’s third year on the board. She helps enhance lives, fulfill dreams, and build communities as the HR Manager at Numerica Credit Union. Before Numerica, Lindsey spent four great years in HR with City of Spokane Valley. She has her BS in Human Resources for University of Idaho, MBA from Gonzaga, and has both her SHRM-CP and PHR certifications. Lindsey loves to read, travel, and is a fierce competitor at Family Game Night.
Pamela is entering her first year on the INSHRM Board as the Diversity and Inclusion Director. She is passionate about Diversity and Inclusion and sees it as a path to healthy and vibrant organizations. She has over twenty years of management and human resources experience. Her educational background includes a Master of Art from the University of San Diego and a BA from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. Pamela is the Principal and Director of Recruitment Services of Northwest Passage Consulting. The company has been providing excellence in recruitment and consulting services since 2001. In her spare time, Pamela enjoys hiking, kayaking, snow skiing, photography, and traveling with her family.
College Relations Director
Hannah is entering her first year on the INSHRM Board in the role of College Relations Director. Hannah works as an HR Generalist for Associated Industries, an employer association that provides HR and legal services to local businesses in the Northwest. She enjoys getting to tackle all facets of Human Resources. In 2016, Hannah graduated from Gonzaga University with a B.A. in Business Administration with concentrations in Human Resource Management and Operations and Supply Chain Management. Hannah served as the External Communications Chair and Interim President for the Gonzaga SHRM Student Chapter Executive Board. She earned her SHRM-CP in December 2017. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys kayaking, snow skiing, attending spinning classes and spending time with family and friends.
This is Andrea's fourth year on the board serving for the last three years as the Foundation Director. She has been the Director of Human Resources at etailz, Inc., an e-commerce company, for over five years. Andrea graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Communication and Political Science. She has been working in HR for 9 years and obtained her PHR certification in 2012 and her SHRM-CP in 2015. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her children and watching football.
Workforce Readiness Director
Hannah Schoepp is a Veterans Employment Representative, helping to connect employers and veteran job seekers. She serves as a board member of the Veterans First Community Engagement Board, as member of the Washington and Idaho Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and has served as co-chair of the Eastern Washington Veterans Task Force. She was born and raised in the Spokane area and is committed to the local community. Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, sunny days at the lake, and hiking in the woods.
Hannah’s love of adventure drew her to enlist in the US Navy at age 17. She spent four years on active duty aboard aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis as an Aircraft Refueler. During that time her passion for serving fellow Servicemembers began as she assisted others in navigating their benefits and professional development. After being honorably discharged in 2005 she attended college utilizing the GI Bill education benefits, eventually earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree.
Hannah promotes community and economic growth in the area though Veteran hiring initiatives and the YesVets program.
This is Matt's first year serving on the INSHRM board as the Technology Director. He has served as a board member of the technology team the year prior. Matt currently works as an HR Manager at Jetseal Inc. Prior to Jetseal, he has been HR in several industries and is well rounded in most HR aspects. Matt graduated with his BS in Human Resources from Eastern Washington University with minors in both Management and Human Resources. Matt loves to travel with his wife and two kids. This is Jennifer’s third year serving on the INSHRM board as the Treasurer. Jennifer moved from Bozeman, Montana in 2016, and is serving as the Director of Police Business Services for the Spokane Police Department. Jennifer has a BA in Organizational Communication from Montana State University-Billings, and recently completed her MA in Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University. She has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership positions, and enjoys contributing to mission-driven work. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys outdoor activities, travelling to new places, and spoiling her fur kids.
This is Kristie’s 1st year on the board and 2nd year volunteering with INSHRM Membership. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with her B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. She is currently the Employee Engagement Administrator at Numerica Credit Union and earned her SHRM-CP in 2016. In her spare time, Kristie loves spending time with her family, she has a 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son that keeps her plenty busy. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling with family, attending country concerts, shopping and finding a new Ted Talk or Podcast to listen to.
This is Kastle's first year on the INSHRM Board of Directors and he is excited to work with such an amazing group of professionals! Kastle also serves on the Dean's Business Forum Board of Directors (Gonzaga University). Working with and learning from people is his passion, so Human Resources/People Operations is the place he's been able to make a positive impact for the last few years. He believes that empathy, seeking understanding, data-driven decisions, inclusion, and kindness are traits that are revolutionizing the Human Resources/People Operations industry (and are the things that can make the world a better place). Kastle is currently the Talent Manager at Stay Alfred and sees every day as an opportunity to change and make a positive impact.
This is Melissa’s fifth year with the Board as the Membership Director and leader of the newly formed group, the INSHRM Healthcare Coalition. Melissa is a Senior Employee Benefits Consultant for HUB International and helps employers to design and implement effective total rewards benefits packages. Prior to joining the insurance industry in 2012, Melissa studied at Gonzaga University, graduating with Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Human Resource Management/ Business Administration. Local to Spokane, Melissa has a passion for building the community and is heavily involved in other local organizations including Disrupt HR, GSI, Leadership Spokane, State of Reform, and the Gonzaga Human Resources Concentration Advisory Board. Melissa enjoys running, snow skiing, camping, anything in the outdoors, and spending time with her husband, daughter, family, friends, and boxer/greyhound, Scraps Mackenzie.
This is Ashleigh’s 5th year serving on the INSHRM Board. She is the HR Manager at DAA Northwest, a locally owned and community conscious vehicle remarketing services organization. Ashleigh has her B.A. in Business Management, with emphasis in Human Resources, Management and Marketing, from Eastern Washington University. She earned her PHR in June 2009 and SHRM-CP in November 2015. Outside of work, Ashleigh loves to travel, run, test Pinterest recipes and spend time with her family, boyfriend and two fur children. Jeff is entering his first year on the INSHRM Board in the role of Certification Director. Jeff works as an HR Specialist for LabCorp supporting their West Coast Division. Jeff obtained his SHRM-CP through the INSHRM Study Group in 2017 and has been helping with the class ever since. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
This is Suzanne’s first year on the board serving as Foundation Director but she has been a contributing member of INSHRM since 2008. Suzanne is a Principal in the Mercer Spokane office and enjoys the responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the employee benefits brokerage and consulting services provided by Mercer to her clients. Suzanne has almost 30 years of experience providing consulting services, 25 of those years serving Mercer clients in multiple cities around the country. Suzanne’s particular areas of expertise include self-funding and strategic design and implementation of wellness and consumerism plans. Suzanne serves on Mercer’s National Wellness and Productivity Committee that brings together intellectual capital on wellness and develops and brings resources to Mercer consultants across the country. Prior to joining Mercer, Suzanne worked for several years in Aetna’s Washington, D.C., office with large corporate benefit programs. Suzanne attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville and holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Georgia. Suzanne enjoys yoga, the outdoors and spending time with her husband and two boys.
