Mission & History
Inland Northwest Society of Human Resource Management (INSHRM) is a regional, non-profit association which was founded in October 1939. The purpose of this association is to:
Develop and maintain the professional competencies of its members
Raise standards of performance in all phases of human resource management
Encourage adherence to a professional code of ethics and
Promote excellence in the field of human resource management.
INSHRM was originally chartered in 1949. Today we have over 500 members in the Spokane, Washington and Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho area. INSHRM is a member of the Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) and is a 100% chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Leadership: Effectively leading an environment conducive to empowering employees to develop their talents, recognize their accomplishments and achieve organizational goals.
Development: Expand judgment, knowledge and growth at any level through networking, education and training opportunities.

Engagement: Continuously advocating for the Human Resources profession.
New members are always welcome! Our luncheon meetings are generally held the second Tuesday of each month.
